Spring notes

It’s spring, and we are concentrating on the positive, focusing on the fanciful and creating from the imagination!

Cornwall is in full spring bloom; scented narcissi, yolk-yellow daffodils with peeping flashes of shy violets and an abundance of primroses. Easter – one of my favourite celebrations – is just around the corner, and with weddings and events booked in last year only a few weeks away, we can’t wait to begin our 2026 season.

Last Sunday on a cycle through a lovely old wood we stopped to listen to the stream and feel the sun on our faces. As we relaxed into the moment, we saw someone dressed in pink coming along the path, as they approached, we could see that they were wearing a perfectly wonderful rabbit suit, complete with long ears. A magical fleeting minute and they were gone! The spark of theatre has lingered through the week in my studio, and all sorts of wonders are being sketched out and imagined.

If you are in Cornwall you must visit the Cornwall Museum and Art Gallery in Truro, which has its own dressing up box, complete with a selection of wonderful headdresses created by Animalesque. Once adorned, you can climb into a display case and become an exhibit! It’s the perfect creative prompt. This stunning venue is also available to hire for events small and large, imagine your very own ‘behind the scenes at the museum’ soirée.

We’d love to hear from you if spring has got you planning lovely things. Perhaps a romantic birthday dinner alfresco, a grand masquerade ball, secret elopement or a gorgeous photoshoot? Don’t forget the flowers! You’ll need beautiful bespoke blooms, designed and created with passion, every detail taken care of, from vision boards to setting up your finished flowers in your venue. We’re here to make your flowery dreams come true.

With love, Vicki x
