October

The bewitching month of October when the veil between the worlds is thin, with darker nights and the smell of woodsmoke in the air. I am always secretly pleased about the coming of winter, a time to rest a bit more, get cosy and not feel you have to be squeezing every second from each day. October is the month for making plans and adding treats into the last remaining months of the year.

Below are exhibits from a beautiful exhibition at Falmouth Art Gallery this month. Artist Leng Parsons writes:

‘Made by cutting and sculpting paper with painted details. This is a series of paper replicas depicting Britain’s rarest and most endangered plants.’

Spreading Bellflower, Cotswold Pennycress, Ghost Orchid, Red Helleborine and Meadow Clary.
