Modern life and long daylight hours can take it out of you! Pressure to ‘make the most of it’ – seeing friends, making trips, eating late, and squeezing as much as possible into each day can take its toll and leave you feeling depleted.
Time for a creative top up; some hours spent idling and day dreaming, a few early nights recharging the batteries and a visit to a historic house usually do the trick for me! On this occasion I revisited a favourite of mine – Lanhydrock house and gardens in Cornwall owned by the National Trust.
I’ve been coming to this house for over 40 years, and it’s always an uplifting experience. I always find something new to take my fancy and the key is to have the whole afternoon to drink it all in and waft about as though one owns the place!
I’ve included here a few of my snaps.
